Bonaire is an island municipality of the Netherlands in the Leeward Antilles. Together with Aruba and Curacao, the three make up the ABC islands of the Caribbean which lie just outside the hurricane belt.

Bonaire's marine life is nothing short of magical. According to the Reef Environmental Education Foundation, there are more than 450 kinds of fish who call Bonaire home and more than 300 different species. The island also has a thriving underwater macro critter wildlife. From frogfish to seahorses, blennies and gobies, sea slugs and more creatures than you would know the name for. These critters are a favorite amongst underwater photographers and nature lovers.
